Slavoj Žižek is coming to the European Capital of Culture! On Friday, 28 November, he will present a chapter from his latest book Quantum History exclusively for GO! 2025. The very next day marks the start of the fourth major highlight of the Stop the City! moments, namely the Borderless Lights, the final large-scale event of GO! 2025: from St. Andrew’s Fair to the joint lighting ceremony uniting the two cities and the festive handover of the European Capital of Culture title to Finland and Slovakia!
6 November will be dedicated to film director Pier Paolo Pasolini and his passion for football – Slovenian and Italian artists will compete in a friendly match, followed by the opening of a photography exhibition and the presentation of the Slovenian translation of the book Football according to Pasolini (Il calcio secondo Pasolini). From 12 to 23 November, the international festival of contemporary artistic practices Pixxelpoint – Resonating Realities in the Fourth Space. We will pay tribute to Franco Basaglia with an international symposium, which will be attended by experts in the field of psychiatry, researchers, artists, and others from 12 to 14 November.
