- From 8 a.m. to midnight in piazzale Musina and in piazza Cesare Battisti
- From 8 am to 4 pm in via Canova from corso Italia to via Mattioli
- From 8am to the end of the procession in corso Italia between via IX Agosto-via XXIV Maggio to corso Verdi
- From 8am to the end of the demonstration in piazza Vittoria between via Mameli and via Oberdan - via Roma
Events in Transalpina
- From 2 to 5 p.m. no parking in via Foscolo, via Caprin, via Luzzatto, via dei Catterini and via Montesanto (between via Caprin and house no. 50 on the even-numbered side and from house no. 45 to house no. 31 on the odd-numbered side)
- From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. no traffic in piazza Transalpina, via Caprin, via Foscolo, via Montesanto (from the intersection with via Mighetti and via Palladio to the State Border) and via Ciconi (from via Caprin to via Luzzatto-Paternolli), via Percoto, via Michelstaedter (from via Rocca to via Montesanto) and via Percoto
- From 5 pm to midnight no parking in via Caprin and via Luzzatto
- From 8 pm to midnight no traffic in via Caprin from piazza Transalpina to via Ciconi, piazza Transalpina, via Foscolo, via Luzzatto and via Percoto.
WHAT HAPPENS IN NOVA GORICA?
In Nova Gorica there will be several free parking spaces for visitors of the opening of the European Capital of Culture on Saturday 8 February 2025. These are:
- Supernova car park, Prvomajska ulica 35, 5000 Nova Gorica,
- Car park Hofer, Cesta 25. junija 1L, 5000 Nova Gorica
- Parking P+R Merkur Kromberk, Industrijska cesta 9, 5000 Nova Gorica
Shuttle bus:
From 13:00 to 24:00, a free shuttle bus will connect the Merkur car park with the city centre (Merkur - Perla Casino stop). All visitors arriving in Nova Gorica from Ajdovščina via the motorway are requested to take the Vogrsko exit. Before Nova Gorica, traffic wardens will direct them to the appropriate car park.
Disabled parking:
People with disabilities will be able to park in the immediate vicinity of the event venue, on the lawn in front of the municipal building, at the Regional Archive, 3 Trga Edvarda Kardeljja, 5000 Nova Gorica, from where it will be possible to access a special disabled space under the stage at the event venue.
Other useful information:
Buses and campers will be able to park in the temporary car park of the former SIA hydraulic plant in Solkan, Street IX. Korpusa 106, 5250 Solkan.
Artists and invited guests will be able to park in the designated spaces.
Journalists will be able to park at the media centre, located at the MIC Centre, Cankarjeva ul. 8a, 5000 Nova Gorica. There will be 50 parking spaces available. A circulating van will be available for transport between the venues on Europa Square and in front of the Nova Gorica Town Hall.
